Most users of the digital satellite TV, cable TV or terrestrial TV services find it annoying when symbols like an envelope appears on the side of the TV screen. More annoying is that you realise the envelop blocks your view of some vital information from the TV programme. Most annoying is that you have tried to remove such mail envelop from the TV screen to no avail. Here is the big relief as this post explains how the mail envelop covering your TV 7screen can be easily removed when viewing your DStv or other digital satellite, cable or terrestrial TV.

WHY DO MAIL ENVELOPS APPEAR ON YOUR SATELLITE TV SCREEN?

One major capability of the digital cable and satellite TV technology is it's interactive functionalities. Aside viewing it's crystal clear video and audio signals, other add-ons like your satellite TV subscription account information is relayed to your on-screen via some means of notification technology. The stubborn mail envelop on your satellite TV screen is one of such notifications. You may be notified with the on-sceeen mail envelop when your subscription is due, new information is sent from service providers etc. This envelop remains on your screens so long as one or a million mails are UNREAD in your mailbox.

HOW TO REMOVE THE ENVELOP FROM YOUR DSTV TV SCREEN

On the remote control, press MENU. browse through until you see MAIL or MESSAGES. press the OK button to enter until you are reading the messages.

To start deleting the messages and consequently the envelop, press the right directional button of the 4 central buttons. Be careful to note that the number of mails keep decreasing as the right corner button is pressed. The mail envelop finally disappears as the last mail message is deleted from the satellite TV decoder. I assure that you will thank me if you adhere strictly to the procedures above.
